Hi, I’m Hoover!
I’m a former fighter pilot who now flies for a major US-based airline and I run the YouTube channels Pilot Debrief and Hoover’s Hangar! I can’t wait to meet all of you as we grow this community together! Hit the reply button and share a little bit about yourself!
Howdy, I’m Jason.
I’m the quintessential “IT goon with an aviation habit”, primarily flying DA40-180s and DA20-C1s here in the Midwest.
I also have some logged OH-58A/C dual time from when I was in the Army.
Hello, I’m an aircraft mechanic and aviation enthusiast, and whenever the weather’s nice Im flying paramotors ![]()
Hi, Im Dan. Run a film video company and enjoy flying my crew to shoots in my Cessna 210. One thing people might not know: I play a LOT of pinball.
And I thought I knew you!
There’s a popular pinball museum in Asheville, NC, not far from where I’m at. You should check it out!
Oh, now I have a reason to head out there!
I’m Ellen and just love the fly!
Hi! I’m Oscar, and have been flying since 1982. Flying has been life long passion. I live in new Hampshire, fly a Mooney M20J, and one of my goals is to never, ever, be featured in one of Hoover’s videos!
Hello, my name is Quentin. I’m a registered nurse working in Washington state. I have my PPL ASEL, RH, and instrument ASEL. Working on commercial now. Flying c172. Hope to get my own plane soon. Appreciate all the hard work Hoover puts into the videos and now the community to make GA and flying in general a safer place to be.
Hi everyone! I’m just an aviation enthusiast and a first-year college student doing Aeronautical Engineering!
Hi, everyone. I’m Kathy and I am not a pilot. I am an engineer working in the Aerospace & Defense industry and I love Pilot Debrief because Hoover’s template for after action reviews is a perfect model for my industry, or any time you make a plan and want to see how it went. I am a licensed sUAV pilot, so there is that. But for the most part, I am a ground person after years of traveling for work and just really love Hoover’s wisdom and the way he shares it.
I am a CFII and was certificated in 1980. I fly a 2003 Baron 58 with a G500 and GI275
Hi Hoover, I’m a UK based flight instructor with a passion for tailwheel aircraft.
Hello,
I’m Kevin a retired IT guy just getting started on my second career, one I dreamed of my whole life. Just got a job flying Beechjets! I’ve had a pilots license for 40 years but just in the last 2-1/2 years got the rest of my ratings. I also fly a Champ and a Cherokee. Great to meet you all. Are you going to be at OSH again this year Hoover? I’m heading up there tomorrow. Annual rendezvous at aviation nirvana!
Richard here, in WA.
I’m a 320 hour Rusty Pilot returning to active flying after 18 years.
Even when I wasn’t flying, I was still following Hoover’s Debriefs and the like on FB and Youtube.
Retired now, so I have lots of time to fly again.
Hi! I’m Brad aka Bramo. I am interested in all things aviation, I have over 1000 hours in Champs and Cubs and currently am flying my 1946 7AC Champ every chance I get and have flown over 200 Young Eagles so far.
Hello everybody.
My name is Mario, and I hold a Canadian PPL. Currently working to get my Chilean PPL, IR, and CPL, to hopefully fly for a living one day!
As somebody else said, my goal is to never be featured in one of Hoover’s videos, lol.
Stay safe!
I’m Trey. I’ve been flying for about 6 years, but I’ve been a private pilot for about 2 years. I currently fly Archer IIs with a flying club out of KEKY.
Hello. I’m Greg and I have an ASEL PPL and an A&P(inactive). I got my PPL in 1992 in Rome, Ga and my A&P in 1993. After a an almost 25 year break I started flying again out of CHA. It took abit to shake of the rust but I’ve started my instrument training again and am working toward being Mission Pilot for the Civil Air Patrol. I’m sure there are lots of stories to be share and lessons to be learned so I’m looking forward interacting with everyone here.
